IEHS Annual Dinner
The annual IEHS dinner meeting will be held on Saturday
night, March 29, 2008, at Villa Mosconi Restorante, 69
MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village.
The four course meal will cost $54 including tax and tip and will begin at 7 PM. A cash bar will be available.
Our guest speaker will be Professor Guillermina Jasso of the NYU Sociology
department speaking on a pilot New Immigrant Survey she is conducting which
includes oral histories of documented immigrants. Professor Jasso’s speech
is titled “Discerning Ethnicity and Its Operation in the New Immigrant
Survey.”
The Journal of American Ethnic History will hold its
editorial board meeting on Saturday, March 29 at 3:30 in concourse “C”
in the Hilton followed immediately by the annual business meeting of the
IEHS.
